Express Entry System allows Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) to actively recruit, assess and select skilled immigrants under the following federal Economic Immigration classes.
1) The Federal Skilled Worker Class (FSWC)
2) The Federal Skilled Trade Class (FSTC)
3) The Canadian Experience Class (CEC)
Provincial and Territories are also allowed to select candidates from the Express Entry System for a portion of the Provincial Nominee Programs to meet out their local market demands.
The Express Entry System works in two steps:-
Step I—- Potential candidates complete an online Express Entry Profile
Step II— Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada will invite certain candidates to apply for permanent residence and process their applications in six months.
If invited to apply the applicant have 90 days to submit the electronic application for permanent residence through one of the Federal Economic Categories (FSWC, FSTC or CEC).
Candidates in the Express Entry Pool, who do not receive an Invitation to apply for permanent residence even after 12 months, may re-submit their profile and re-enter the pool.
